The dumpsite that led to Urdim Channeltree's broken arm was finally brought up to current safety codes, but not before one final accident. Uvash Crescenttours, one of Relicshield's best frontline marksdwarves, was killed :(.
Howdy Mr R/Verdant SF.
ReplyDeleteSirdave79 here. Ive started reading your posts from the beginning. I love this kind of thing. I plan to do something like this when the new version lands.
Just finished building my attempt at a copy of your underground trade network. Ive made a few mistakes but I want to see a caravan and migrants go in via it before I do it again and try to make sure I get it right.
With your trenches next to your fortifications, did you remove all ramps from the trench ? Did you connect all your trenches and bridge gaps at z-1 for the screenshot shown on your second post ?
Cheers
Heya Sirdave!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to the new version, but I'm not sure I can give up playing this fortress either. Decisions, decisions.
These days, the trenches all have a ramp for access, but the entry point is at the end of the hall away from the trade depot. That way soldiers can get back out if they dodge in, but enemies still have to fight their way down the hall if they scramble out. Only each pair of trenches for the cardinal directions are connected. The bridge gaps are all separate.
Thanks for following the tales of Relicshield :).
