Mosus II Lanterngaze-Anguishedpages, once universally popular, has fallen out of favor due to her recent greed. When her demands for a GOLD BED were ignored, she had Datan Goodhatchet-Dippedtowers and Asmel Channeltree beaten by the Hammerer, Stakud II Roughwhips-Lanterngaze. Datan and Asmel both perished as a result of their sentence. With the deaths of a highly regarded military captain and a member of the prominent Channeltree family, King Urist II stepped in. While Mosus II was allowed to keep her position due to her otherwise stellar record, the position of Hammerer was removed.




Leadership of Datan's squad, the Trade Watch, passed to the hammerwidow's young lieutenant, the macedwarf Besmar Graniteright.

Lift Those Legs!

Pop. 163, Midwinter of 346 (Year 95)

Datan Dippedtowers, the dragonslayer who ushered in the Second Age of Legends, suffered a serious spinal cord injury 68 years ago. Since that time, she has been unable to walk at all, unlike the few crutch-users in the fortress. Rather than retire her completely, she was given command of the recruit squad. Despite the inability to walk, her ability to impart useful information through demonstrations has been renowned. According to the newest recruits, she has even improvised KICKING demonstrations!

Dragon Breeding

Pop. 135, Autumn of 312 (Year 61)

The duchy's dragon breeding program has succeeded! After one egg that failed to hatch after a full year, a second clutch was laid in the Summer. By Autumn, the fortress welcomed 2 more dragons!



Work continued on the largest cavern security wall to date, this one covering an area 28 across and 38 levels high. With so much attention on the dragon breeding program and the cavern walls, the odd mumblings of the brewer Tulon Dippedtowers were overlooked. He went berserk near the farm complex, which recently merged with the kindergarten.

Tulon charged at Mosus III Anguishedpages, the first 3rd generation citizen of Relicshield. He struck her twice before the axedwarf Vucar Graniteright struck him down. Not the sharpest tool in the shed, having named his axe "The Pale Hammer," Vucar has still managed to be a reliable fighter.



Duke Phyllite has urged all citizens to please report any strange activity at once and to stay vigilant even in the midst of large projects!

The Second Age of Legends

Pop. 112, Late Winter of 277 (Year 26)

The Dragon Mistrum Ebbakrulu Kara Ves has come! A gigantic reptilian creature. It is magical and can breath fire. These monsters can live for thousands of years.

The alert was sounded and the army was ordered back to the inner keep... but Datan Dippedtowers had been lazing about and didn't respond in time.



With the death of Mistrum Brandedsweltered the Heat of Gems, the world passed from the Second Age of Myth to the Second Age of Legends (my first time getting an in-game changes of Ages)!
